Zamba Despues
$9.00Price
Instrumentation: solo piano.
Zamba Después revisits the Argentine zamba from a distance, as if the dance were remembered through fragments rather than presented directly. Rhythmic cells, resonant pedal textures, and displaced melodic contours gradually suggest the traditional genre without fully revealing it. The work unfolds through suspension and delay: gestures circulate, dissolve, and return transformed. Rather than quoting folklore literally, the piece explores the idea of cultural memory. The zamba appears as a latent structure inside a contemporary harmonic language shaped by registral contrast, rubato, and layered resonance.
