Ocho is a sociological experiment, testing how distinct voices—humanly produced and synthetic—can coexist, depend on, and reshape one another within a shared system. The piece foregrounds ensemble blend—not only among the four trombones, but between acoustic and electronic sources. Each element is incomplete alone; only in mutual resonance does the full identity of the work emerge.
